New bassplayer!
Sunday July 30, 2006
King Laoghaire are proud, and extremely happy, to announce that Gjert Magnusson will be joining the band. Gjert filled in admirably at the Celtic Night show earlier this year on a very short notice. He has since then been playing with the band during the summer.
The choice wasn't solely made with his musical ability in mind (Gjert also plays the fiddle and concertina among other instruments) but also for his easy going attitude and open hearted approach to music and fellow musicians. Gjert is also, amongst other projects, a member of Bogside Band and The 3 1/2 Band. Great to have ye on board, mate!
