Former King Laoghaire member dies
Monday October 1, 2001
King Laoghaire are in mourning after receiving the sad news that former member Leif Andersson suddenly died in his home on Sunday September 30. The cause of death is unknown.

Leif was part of the very first line-up of the band. An accomplished guitar player, he went hoboing across Ireland with Peter in 1991. A journey which should prove crucial in the formation of the group King Laoghaire.

Although leaving the band in 1995, just before the start of the recording of the album Courtin' the Ginger Lady, he still appeared as a guest musician on a number of tracks. Leif also used to sit in with the band on occasional live gigs.

A great friend and musician is gone. He is going to be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Leif Andersson was 38 years of age.
